IPadOS 17.7.8 causing issues on my IPad Pro 10.5 inch

I never downloaded the 17.7.7 update since I heard it was buggy, but I did download the 17.7.8 update and it is making my IPad practically unusable. I have to constantly resign into apps, but it won’t let me login if I did so from my gmail because my IPad is now viewing google and Safari as unsafe, it says “Connection is not Private” every time I try to search something on Safari. Apps are not saving their place. I tried a Network Settings reset and the problems still here, even tried changing my Wi-Fi and nothing. I can’t even use any apps that require a network connecting including games and streaming apps. Is anyone else having this problem?

iPadOS 17.7.9 fixed Safari/browser reload-loop on 10.5-inch iPad Pro

I have an iPad Pro (10.5-inch, model MPGH2LL/A). After upgrading to iPadOS 17.7.8, all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) would endlessly reload any website and never finish loading. Tried the usual fixes (reset network settings, clear cache, disable Private Relay, etc.)—nothing worked.

Today I upgraded to iPadOS 17.7.9, and the problem completely disappeared. Browsers now load normally. If you're stuck in the same loop, backup your iPad and update to 17.7.9—it seems to resolve the bug introduced in 17.7.8.

If I bring my iPad to the Apple Genius Bar, if they can’t fix the problem will I be able to get a replacement or will they be able to send it out to be repaired. I do not expect it to be free but I need an option.

Starting at the Genius Bar is always a good option - as the initial diagnostics are without cost. If the problem can be easily remedied, it will cost you nothing but your time.

If a hardware fault is identified that the technicians cannot immediately rectify, the device can be sent for repair directly.
