that BenQ PD2706UA appears to be a 4K display with HDR (10 bits/color) capability.
it claims supports up to 60 Hz refresh rate, but NOT higher.
interfaces include:
1x HDMI (v2.0)
1x DisplayPort (v1.4)
1x USB C(with PowerDelivery 90W, DisplayPort Alt Mode, Data)
Because it features only HDMI 2.0, and not higher, it can attain 4K at 60 Hz using HDMI cables sold as PREMIUM High Speed. At 60 Hz, the color space must be slightly clipped to fit inside the allowable data rates for HDMI 2.0.
(Your Mac [but NOT that display] can produce higher refresh rates with a more capable display and ULTRA certified cables. These are backward-compatible to older versions.)
In later versions of MacOS, any transmit errors sending data to the display will cause the display picture to be blanked out. This can sometimes be caused by cables that are not high enough spec to support error-free transmission at the data rates required.
The cables 'found' behind your TV set and generally NOT high enough spec for a 4K display.
if connected using DisplayPort with a high spec adapter/cable one meter or shorter -OR-
a direct USB-C connection with a SuperSpeed plus or USB-10 or USB-20 or thunderBolt -3 or -4 certified cable one meter or shorter,
it would provide full color support for HDR video at 60 Hz. The difference is unlikely to be noticeable for most purposes.
