What does Apple mean by 'OBS' when referring to a MacBook?

i find an apple device that described as "OBS MacBook" in support app aftre i scan its SN to check apple care my queston is what does it mean "OBS" ?

User @Grant Bennet-Alder is correct.

The OBS designation indicates the Mac is obsolete and not longer qualifies for support.

This is one of my old Macs when I use "Check Coverage" and then "Get Support". It is absolutely obsolete.



My obsolete computers get the treatment, but not my current or vintage Macs.

In fact none of my Macs have that "OBS" designation. All the Apple devices bear the names I gave them. Macs, iPhones, iPads, iPods, AirPods, TV, Watch... etc. I have even older devices that appear the same way.

There is probably a way to that "Get Support" screenshot you posted but I don't recall how. It would be even more helpful if Mohdzgsm would explain the actions that led to that observation.

My process:

Input the serial number in the Check Coverage page and [Submit].

Scroll down and select Start now... below the Get Support icon.
