Weather Widget: Can't Access Accuweather With Snow/Snowing Version

OK. So here's the problem. Normally you can click the name of the city in the weather widget and it will take you to the accuweather.com site for more detailed information. Right now, however, there is no "clickable area" on the widget, I think possibly due to a bug in the "snowing" version of the widget.

Normally, you mouse over a certain area of the widget and the cursor will change from a pointer to a hand. However, currently, there's nowhere to click right now. I brought up a widget of a city with different weather and can click through to accuweather on that widget just fine. I've very methodically moved the cursor over all area of the widget looking for that "hand," but I'm just not getting it.

Can anyone help?

I can't help with a fix but I can confirm seeing the same behavior, not only with the 'snow' image but with others. It is very erratic: sometimes the city name underlines & I get the hand pointer on mouse overs, sometimes no underline but the hand pointer, sometimes nothing but a flicker of the hand that reverts to the arrow as soon as the pointer comes to a stop over the name.

Worse, this seems to have little to do with the ability to click through to the web page. Sometimes there is no visual pointer change or underline cue but the link is live; other times it isn't.

Try this: Cmd-option-clicking on the weather graphic icon cycles through all the graphics & changes the location to "Nowhere." Cute, but sometimes "Nowhere" sticks as the location the next time Dashboard is displayed, sometimes not. Other anomolies have been noted in other threads, too.

Bottom line is I think the weather widget isn't very sophistocated & is easy to confuse.

I just noticed certain of the Widget's weather graphics do seem to 'cover up' the clickable link to a greater or lesser extent. One that looks like a haze shrouded moon leaves only a single pixel of a short city name "live" for clicking, which explains the flickering hand/arrow pointer effect I described before.

It's as if the layers are backwards, with the hot link being under the graphic instead of above it.
