How do I keep the date and time always shown on the Lock Screen of my iPhone?

Is there any way to keep the current date displayed on the Lock Screen (iOS 18.5)? Currently, if my iPhone is sitting on the desk and I tap it, it will show the date briefly, just above the time. After about 3 seconds though, the date disappears and it’s replaced with the text ‘Swipe up to unlock’. Is there any way to keep the date (& time) on the Lock Screen at all times, without it disappearing. Thanks 🙂

You would need to have the Always On Display feature, and that is not available for the iPhone 12, which is what you have displayed in your profile. If you have an iPhone 14 or newer, you can activate that feature.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure I'm following. Are saying that the only way to stop the date from disappearing is to have the phone unlocked? I don't want to have to hold my phone and unlock it with Face ID, just to stop the date from disappearing. The time will always display on the screen no matter whether the phone is locked or unlocked (once you tap the screen to wake it). I just want to know if there's anyway to keep the date displaying on the screen as well, instead of it disappearing and being replaced with a message to unlock the phone.
