How do I fix unresponsive Apple Watch app switcher glitch?

When I double press the Digital Crown, it brings me to the App Switcher as expected. If I wait less or more than 1 second, then press the Digital Crown once, it goes back to the screen you activated it from (Home Screen, or App Launcher), however, if I wait about one second, and then press the Digital Crown once, it looks like it has gone back to the App Launcher, but on closer inspection you realize that the touchscreen, and scrolling the Digital Crown, have become completely unresponsive (you can still use the Action Button and Side Button), and you have to click the Digital Crown once to bring up the real App Launcher.

I could not trigger that issue on my Ultra 2, following your description.


Your Ultra 2 is updated to watchOS 11.5?

Did you try to force restart by pressing and holding the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?


If this does not work, unpairing the watch would be the next step:
