My iPhone was accessed through fraudulent activity and I was misled. Access to my iPhone was obtained as a result of fraudulent actions and I was misled. Fraudsters offered me a job as a tester. To do this, a fraudster called me on Telegram, who introduced himself as a company manager. He described the working conditions, schedule and salary that they would provide me. According to him, I needed to log out of my icloud and go to his icloud, which was necessary so that I could have access to the applications that need to be tested. The fraudster gave me a login and password, under which I had to log into his profile on my iPhone to work. Once I work, according to him, I can log out of his account and go to mine. Since this is my first iPhone, and I did not know about this type of fraud, I did everything he said. We talked on the phone on Telegram and the fraudster told me to go to the settings, turn off two-factor authentication, face scanner and password from the phone, which I did and maybe something else, but I don’t remember. When I logged into this profile, there were other iPhones connected. My phone got locked and the screen showed the message "Lost iPhone, write to Telegram to unlock @kesha291 13 (RB) M beware of fakes, check the tag, there is only 1 account." I logged into Telegram from another device and asked the scammers to unblock me, to which I was redirected to another account, where they wrote that in order to get a code-password, you need to pay money. I started reading information on this issue on the Internet, where it was written that the scammers, even if you pay them, will not provide you with any password. There is correspondence with the scammers. There is a login and password that had to be entered to enter iCloud. They wrote that there is a way out - to contact Apple support. They wrote on the Internet that in order to communicate with employees, you need to change the region on the site from Belarus to the USA, which is what I did. I was connected to a chat where one employee first spoke to me, then I was transferred to another who provided a link to a form to unlock the phone. I filled everything out, provided photos of the receipt and the box. But after 1.5 days I received a message from Apple saying "We cannot fulfill your request to remove the activation lock." I bought this iPhone from an organization registered in the Republic of Belarus. The purchase took place under surveillance cameras in the organization where I work. The phone was packed. I was given a receipt. The iPhone activation date will be close in time to the date the cameras filmed it, since when I bought the phone, I put it on charge and then activated it. I bought it before my trip to Georgia to take photos of everything on a new phone. I do not believe that Apple cannot return it to me. In fact, it was stolen from me, I cannot use it! I would like to call Apple support and tell them about this in more detail so that they can make sure that it was my phone that was unlocked. But I don't speak English very well, so I chose to correspond with Apple, since then I have the opportunity to use Google Translate. I wrote the text in Russian, translated it into English and pasted it into the chat with support. A relative told me that Apple may have refused to remove the block because of the receipt. The relative said that Apple wants to see the receipt that the organization that sold me the phone received when they bought it. But according to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, I cannot demand this receipt from the seller. What should I do? I want to continue using the phone. Despite the fact that the scammers wrote to me that it is useless to contact the police, I still wrote a statement to the police. I ask Apple to help me. I can provide a screenshot of the correspondence with the scammers, the entire necessary history of how I used the phone. Apple can see who used it and where. I can also provide the login and password under which I entered the scammers' profile. Other iPhones were connected there. The motto of Apple is safety. So find the scammers! Restore the functionality of my device. I have only used it for about 7 months. This is not fair! I asked my uncle, who knows English, to call Apple and describe the situation, but he said he would call when he has less work. This is very far away (Help me. What else should I do? They write that I can give it for parts, but I do not want to. For this they will give a small amount, it is not enough to buy a new iPhone. Scam Apple Tech Support - phone number came from Safari search A friend used Safari on her iPhone to search for an Apple Customer Service phone number becuase her bank account had been frozen. The bank indicated there was an attempted data breach and she should have her phone scanned for viruses. The search returned this phone number: * *** ***-****. Upon calling, a man answered the phone, "Tech Support", asked to install Anydesk app and proceeded to indicate that her iphone was in fact infected. The Scammers asked her to sign onto bank accounts, Vemno, and Zelle to check for bad transactions as they were viewing with Anydesk app. They indicated that Vemno and Zelle were in test mode and asked my friend to send test transactions to them. Obviously this was a scam to have her send them money and it was working. They got greedy said that $13000 was being transferred to her bank account and indicated that she should go to the bank and withdrawl that amount in cash while still on the call. She went to the bank, they locked the accounts and assisted my friend in ending the scam call. I believe they would have asked her to wire the money back to them. Wow, you should never allow anyone to remote to your device and open financial apps etc... I believe that she was frazzled and figured that she called "Apple" so she trusted that the were really helping her to identify malicious transactions. The Vemno transaction failed because the account was locked. The Zelle transactions failed for some other unknown reason and the cash was never withdrawln. Luckily there wasn't any financial damage but I'm very concerned that her phone is somehow compromised. The initial search which yeilded the malicious phone number above couldn't be replicated on her phone, her computer, my phone, or my computer using Safari. How was she redirected to this phone number? What can be done to test the integrity of the phone at this point? So far, we wiped the phone and restored from three days prior and checked to see what devices have connections, etc. It's quite possible that the restored data is also compromised. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm an I/T guy and clearly understand her mistakes so please don't leave sarcastic comments. Thank you in advance for any help you may provide. Compromised iphone I am posting with the same problem users @Blackbird11xx and @iphone888abc both experienced with the ability to remotely control my phone despite factory resets and new sim cards, I am trying to find out if either user had a resolution to their issues? My iCloud was breached to start this entire mess but a brand new phone with brand new email and brand new icloud that did not bring anything from the original compromised device over to the new one has the new device with the same exact issues. There has been Reddit posts I have engaged in that discuss kernel privileges and radio waves to breach devices, an apple support employee experienced the attack and couldn’t get real help from apple resolving it, there are zero day attacks on iPhones, its just less likely to happen than other phones, why would hacking groups making tens of millions give up their hacks for the apple bounty? One group that was busted made an estimated $68mil, ways more than the bounty apple has for hands off hacking proof. I was vindicated by the apple employee though who himself admittedly thought customers were crazy when he received a few calls like the situation he ended up encountering. They are able to remote access the phone and while I was in the Apple Store showed the manager proof that I was not touching the phone and someone was navigating through it but the only solution offered was factory reset which did not help. I am desperate for help because I do not have money to buy new phones, I keep this one in lockdown mode and over a month this has gone on without any end site. My carrier and apple both have blamed each other for the problems and in the end I get no where. I assumed this was a SIM swapping scam, but they don’t even have to go that far when they can enable focus and screen time to then have your phone “unavailable” while diverting the calls & 2FA to themselves or simply watching everything you do on the phone. They also infiltrated my home network so I have no home internet and a compromised laptop that I can’t use to try to fix things. This has made me incredibly paranoid as I have had calls rerouted to the hackers that I thought was AT&T and other important companies by which they’ve gained access to sensitive account info. They even got into the apple store’s Mac my phone connected to trying to wipe it as well as the store’s phone they use to do business on as they let me borrow the store phone to call AT&T when I asked due to not being able to use my own compromised phone and they diverted that call to themselves as it was a Wi-Fi phone. I have proof and witnesses yet people will call me crazy still I know. I have fbi and local police reports without any forward movement to stop this there. I have had me mental health EXTREMELY & immensely negatively affected by all this. Where to go and what to do when brand new phone lines phones emails and apple ids end up compromised exactly the same, I do not know. I do not have anyone on a personal level capable or who would want to do this kinda thing either, no stalking, this is I’m assuming for financial exploitation and theft but I have nothing and so far to my knowledge they’ve not gotten anything, but I have limited ways to safely check my accounts or get on the internet at all. It’s a nightmare with no end in site. I need real help not someone saying it’s not possible because it most definitely is when you do a simple google search, IMSI devices exist & my passwords being leaked in the dark web when I didn’t realize it I believe gave them the in to breach my email and iCloud at exactly the same moment, so I know what I should’ve done to prevent this but it’s too late for all that now and little is out there on how to stop this once it’s happened. I contacted a cybersecurity company who said $2500 per device to fix it, I couldn’t even afford the $200 I had to scrounge up to get a new phone when they locked me out of the other device, it’s been 6 weeks of literal worst experience ever because our entire lives require the internet, I am doing everything I can in person but there’s so much you can’t do like that. I need real help please.
