can't log in as admin, don't know admin password

Whoever you bought it from had to do this before delivering it to you: What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support
If the seller did not do this, contact them and ask them to do it. Otherwise your computer is of no use/value to you.
