I have an iPhone 7 plus that has a weird issue. The microphone wont work, it happened last year when I updated it and last week I got it fixed, the mic was replaced and the charging port was replaced but the microphone is still not working and the weird thing is everytime I update the phone the mic will work for a few mins and after that it will not work again. Is this an audio IC issue?
You say the Charging Port was replaced…Apple doesn’t service charging ports. If there is an issue with a iPhone’s Charging Port, Apple replaces the device. That immediately implies you had the iPhone serviced at a non Apple Authorized Service Provider? If so, surely anything can go wrong with the iPhone after service from them as there’s no saying in what they do. Unfortunately Apple now will no longer service the iPhone and any warranty or AppleCare+ are no longer valid.
You may be better off purchasing a new iPhone anyway as your current one is Vintage, meaning it will stop receiving service anyway soon, stopped receiving software updates, and is over 11 years old.
