Unable to turn on my MacBook Pro after changing the battery

I got my Mac in 2015 and I’ve recently changed the battery. I think I might be behind on updates but I can’t do that now since it won’t turn on. Previous to dying, the Mac thought it was charging despite not being plugged in and would not charge.

Who changed the battery? If not Apple, someone likely made a fine mess of things. Have the shop that installed the battery make it right. The bad news is that Apple can refuse to work on a device where a non-Apple shop has been inside.

If your Macbook Pro is a 2015 model, it is hardware- constrained to running no higher macOS than macOS 12 "Monterey." What OS was it running when it quit working?

Your 2015 MBP is obsolete and is considered vintage which means it cannot run current versions of Mac OS and parts are largely not available. Please refer to. macOS Sequoia is compatible with these computers - Apple Support

I would recommend attempting to restart from the Recovery Partition and if that fails look for a third party Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area that will work on it.
