Why is Chrome browser crashing on new MacBook Air M3?

All I can report is that Chrome works without issues on my M1 Studio Max. While there many reports of your issue the fact remains that the vast majority of Mac users have no issues with Chrome, even though many experienced users think it’s a bad idea to install it in the first place.

Finally it’s up to Chrome’s developers to keep their browser compatible with macOS, not Apple’s responsibility to make sure Chrome runs on each version of macOS they release.

There’s also the possibility you downloaded the wrong version of Chrome. Chrome for the Mac comes in two flavors, one for Intel CPU based Macs, another for Apple Silicon CPU based Macs (M1-4). Make sure you have the correct one installed.

Hi, I was also facing this problem.

For me, the problem was with an extension that I had installed on Chrome.

After removing the extension, the problem was solved.

Remove all extensions and see if the problem is solved. If it is solved: Check each one to find the extension that caused this problem.

Use Brave instead. It's based on the same open-source Chromium code, but without Google Chrome's highly invasion data collecting.

Any site that works with Chrome is nearly 100% certain to work with Brave.

That's incorrect. Google Chrome is a 'Universal' app.
