Why is Chrome browser crashing on new MacBook Air M3?

I just bought a new Macbook Air M3, finally switched from s Windows laptop to a Macbook air.

First thing I try to install is the the chrome browser cause I really need it for work, and it doesn’t even open. Just gives me error. So disappointed, I might return the laptop, can’t work without my Chrome sessions.

The macbook air M3 is new, so what could be crashing this?

It’s updated, I logged in with my Apple ID, nothing is interfering with. I removed and installed it again multiple times, restarted the laptop and nothing. So disappointed.

All I can report is that Chrome works without issues on my M1 Studio Max. While there many reports of your issue the fact remains that the vast majority of Mac users have no issues with Chrome, even though many experienced users think it’s a bad idea to install it in the first place.

Finally it’s up to Chrome’s developers to keep their browser compatible with macOS, not Apple’s responsibility to make sure Chrome runs on each version of macOS they release.

There’s also the possibility you downloaded the wrong version of Chrome. Chrome for the Mac comes in two flavors, one for Intel CPU based Macs, another for Apple Silicon CPU based Macs (M1-4). Make sure you have the correct one installed.
