Just got iPhone 16 Pro Max—what features should I try first?
I am a newbie. Any special functions that I should try out and aware of? My previous phone is iPhone SE. So, it's a massive upgrade.

First off you have the Camera Control button on the bottom right side of your iPhone. That is a special button that allows you to take photos and videos with it, and since it registers haptics you can also customize shots. If you long hold that button you can activate Visual Intelligence, which is an Apple Intelligence powered feature to scan your surroundings and give you information based on it.

On the same note you have Apple Intelligence, it has many features such as Writing Tools, Genmoji, Priority Notifications and summaries, and many more.

Then you have Dynamic Island in the top of your iPhone screen that replaced the notch. In addition to housing the mic/speaker, it is used to show live activities and actions such as Rideshare apps and Sports games.

You also have the Action Button above the volume buttons on your iPhone which replaced the silent mode switch. It allows you to customize it to an action of your choosing, such as Silent Mode, or Translation, or Flashlight and more.

You also now have Always on Display, Face ID, MagSafe Charging, Precision Finding, the list goes on and on. I just named the big ones, but there are plenty more. You can compare the models here:
