Rapid battery drainage issue on my iPhone 16 Pro Max

Hi,

since now Ive been since the launch in touch with Apple about the battery thats so bad since launch, contacted Apple about this multiple times without they lissen to me

finally after months I got finnaly in touch with a good super visior that confirmed that somthing is bad with the battery but it doenst pop out clearly that somthing is wrong, they will get it to the engineer team now but since the call on 30 may I yesterday noticed my capicity of my battery dropped 2% in 2 days I mean this cant be good so I really think this is somthing hardware wise that some people have actual battery drain bc if you look to all the 16 series comments you find only a vieuw and on older models a lot so I assume there is a fault in the production of Apple but im not sure!

What yall think?

It is not stopping the usage that is going to make any difference, it would require deleting those apps to test your Battery Drain. Do that and give it 24 hours to test your results, then post the graph along with the top 5 apps identified over the last 24 hours consuming your battery. That is done by going to Settings > Battery, and scroll toward the bottom of the screen choose the Last 24 hours options and Battery Usage by App. It really is that simple to test and also see what apps are responsible for your battery drain.

As far as your battery health, on average you should be seeing 95%, so I would expect another 2% drop soon. That could occur all in one day after the battery has a chance to re-calibrate again, or 2 drops in short order of 1% each. As you said yourself: Battery wear isn’t always linear.

After 254 battery cycle charges, you're upset that the health of your battery is down 3%???? Your battery is doing far better than it should be doing after so many cycles. For every 50 cycles, you should see on average a 1% decline in battery health. 254/50 = 5.08. Your battery health should be more in the 94 - 95% range. Count yourself lucky.

There is NO WAY to stop battery health decline. Batteries are consumable parts and every time you charge the battery, it will lose some of its health. This is natural and unstoppable. When the day comes that the health of your battery declines to 80%, which it WILL if you own your phone long enough, it will then be time to pay Apple to replace the battery.

Your Battery Health is actually doing better than average. You can expect a drop of about 1% for every 50 charge cycles, so realistically it should be more like 95%. The drop you see will not be linear and will only happen when the phone is allowed to charge to 100% to calibrate. Even when using a Charge Limit or Optimized Charging, the phone will still charge to 100% on occasion to recalibrate the battery. If you have prevented this from happening by removing it from the charger while it was trying to charge to 100% for calibration, that will be delayed until it does have the opportunity to charge to 100%, and that calibration may result in a larger drop in Battery Health like you have seen.

Im mad that Apple didnt lissen at all to me about battery life bc a SOT of 7u tot 7u30 max isnt a max battery thats just my iPhone 14 Pro i got and the fact they 1 didnt fix my issues + this in 2 days is just insane

It's very easy to see what is using the battery the most. Open Settings > Battery and all the apps which have used the battery will show. What is using the most charge?

Some of the information you posted to another user on April 7th actually applies to your case as well. Although there is one notation that is not correct as both your phone and the users phone on that post is expected to retain 80% capacity after 1000 cycles, not 500.

First off, some facts to keep you grounded:

  • 97% capacity after 35 cycles is still within normal expectations.
  • Battery health indicators aren’t 100% precise, and small drops early on are common—sometimes even due to calibration or the battery “settling in.” Apple states a normal battery is considered healthy if it retains 80% of capacity after 500 cycles.
  • Battery wear isn’t always linear.
  • It’s normal to see a couple percent drop early, then it might plateau for months. Sometimes, the drop appears after a software update recalibrates the metrics—it doesn’t always mean the battery physically degraded.
  • Checking battery health too often creates stress. The truth is: 97% means your battery is still functioning at near-peak. At this rate, you’ll easily get several years of good battery life

You didnt read if i said it did this in 2 days💀

Yes I read it perfectly fine. You can certainly see a Battery Health showing 99% on May 30th that is inflated, since it has not been calibrated if it has been prevented from charging to 100%. Two days later after that calibration has been performed, it will be updated to reflect a more accurate value. In your case, having it show 97% for 254 Charge Cycle is much better than average.

From that screenshot, there is nothing to be concerned about with your Battery Health.

Still not right that it went from 99 to 97 in 2 days tho Idc it did but its not normal

You're absolutely right! Instead of dropping to 97, it should have dropped to 95. That would be appropriate for a phone which has been through 254 full charge cycles.

It's been explained to you that battery health decline is NOT linear. It can remain steady for a while, then drop a few points.

You are going to drive yourself completely crazy trying to monitor the health of your battery. Your battery is doing great.
