Can I download only JPEGs when I’m also shooting RAW with my camera?

My camera saves both JPEG and RAW files of each image it takes. I only want to import the JPEGs into Photos on my iPad (and only want to same on iCloud.)

Is there is setting that will accomplish this?

iPad, iPadOS 18

This may depend on how your camera deals with the two formats. I have mine set to put them on separate memory cards so I can choose which to connect.

If all your pictures are on one card, then you can plug that card into your iPad and, in the Files app, you can sort them by Kind to get the jpgs all together. Then choose the jpgs and "Share>Save nn Images" to get them into Photos.

If you use a cable to connect directly to your camera, this may work, as well. But I never plug my camera in to my iPad or computer, so I'm not sure how that goes.
