Filter Failed in print (HP vs. Sequoia 15.5)

Hello!

Got printing problems after switching to Mac mini, transferred data with Time Machine.

Local network printer HP Color Laserjet MFP E78330, with unit to make booklets and stapling. Network is cabled in full.

I can connect, but the only setting which knows the hardware / let's choose the correct-looking driver is AirPrint. And with AirPrint I can't make booklets.

No matter how I connect, with Bonjour or IP. The driver clearly doesn't know about folding and stapling.

AirPrint knows automatically "HP Color LaserJet MFP E783", which I cannot even choose from list, not with AirPrint nor with LPD.

If I choose similar closest driver, like 78328, it doesn't know the units in the printer.

If I choose LPD and E78228, I get the installation done, but when printing I get the error message "filter failed". Not even one page would go through. Printer options in Adobe Reader would look reasonable.

Who is to blame?

Apple or HP?

The printer is just about two years old, and functioned well with earlier OS.
