Does draining my iPhone battery fix a stuck switch control issue?

I am currently unable to unlock my iphone due to switch control being stuck on with an invalid configuration that makes it impossible to the switch control turn off or unlock my phone. I have siri disabled when locked, so I can't use it either.

I contacted support to help resolve this issue and they told me that draining the battery to zero and turning it back on would solve this issue; however, pretty much every other resource is telling me that this is not the case.

I am currently waiting for the battery to drain, but wanted to check if anyone knew if this was true or not so that I could skip the 10+ hour wait.

It is because the only other solution is a factory reset.

I’m posting here to try to see if there is at least one person somewhere that had it work (BTW it doesn’t in case anyone has this problem and is recommended it as solution).

If it took multiple days to drain the battery (because you cant use any apps), I probably wouldn’t have waited unless one person (on any site) actually experienced the problem and had the solution work.

So you're saying you contacted Apple support they told you want you need or should do, but other resources are saying that isn't the fix.

And now you're asking in an Apple supported user to user technical forum for help, why not turn to said "resources" how to fix it?
