Why is my iPhone 15 Pro not ringing for incoming calls?

Settings > Apps > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers.

To keep the ringer volume from being accidentally adjusted, go to: Settings > Sounds & Haptics, and turn off “Change With Buttons.”

Try a hard reset. Quickly touch and release the up sound button. Quickly touch and release the down sound button, the hold the button on the right side until the apple logo appears (can take 15-20 seconds). Do not release the button when the slide to off appears.

Original Title: why cant i hear my iphone 15 pro ring when i get a call? its not set to silent and i have the ringtone turned all the way up. i hear nothing and then get a beep after a voicemail is left? Very frustrating when you’re waiting on a call and you miss it because your phone does not ring!

Double check silence unknown caller isn't enabled.

I have just had this problem on my iPhone 15. I tried everything, searched the internet until there were no more options. I realised that the only thing left was the switch on the side of the phone. Switched it on and off several times and ……. solved! It now works fine but I won’t be using the switch to put it on ‘silent’ again!

I was having this issue also, and finally found it. Not sure how this got changed, as I don't remember ever changing it, but under

Settings > Apps > Phone - in the second section, there's "Announce Calls" and mine was somehow set to "Never" instead of "Always."

How do you do that? I can't find a way to silence unknown caller. My iPhone 15Pro is also not ringing for incoming calls. The volume bar on left does not stay in maximum vol position either. I don't know when this not ringing started but I do know at one time my iPhone rang normally. ios 18.5

Is there an Apple Watch involved where the calls are be directed there instead of ringing your phone? You didn't mention it, but just checking.

i’m another annoyed and very disappointed Customer. There are individuals attempting to place blame were it “DOESN’T” belong. If you’re experiencing this problem, there is just one CAUSE. IOS 26.1 is a complete failure.

We have two IPhones, one has been updated while the second phone

has not.

The IPhone recently updated to the new IOS update is not only useless it’s down right awful.

It changed the functionality of what use-to-be, recognizable tasks.

IOS 26.1 is a complete failure, I no longer can hear my phone ring for outgoing calls.

My wife did NOT update her Iphone and it still works perfectly when placing a call and still maintains recognizable icons.

PLEASE DEVELOP AN APP TO REVERSE or DELETE, IOS26.1,

How about you scroll up and read the whole thread and follow the advice that was given.

There is no Apple here in these user to user technical forum to hear your rant.

Are you saying reading is a requirement?

No.no rings on Apple watch either. Just got off chat with Apple support. Useless.

So to confirm, you do have an Apple Watch connected to your phone when it is not ringing?

That particular setting is for when you have headphones connected, as explained in the text below the settings. It doesn't have anything to do with the phone ringing.

My iPhone does not ring, just goes to message tried to fix but unable to
