Unable to access Microsoft Word subscription on MacBook after two weeks of no response from Apple or Microsoft

I bought a subscription through apple. I’ve had this subscription for two years. Now I can’t access it on my MacBook, though it works on my phone. Nobody from either company has gotten back to me for two weeks, despite several emails. How do I solve this?

Seems the App Store's "Word" app for iPhone has had a lot of updates recently:

Seems the App Store's Mac "Word" app (Version16.97.2) has also had updates and it says "requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 subscription. Microsoft 365 includes premium Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps,..."

I could be wrong.
