When downloading to iPhone they download successfully but shortly afterwards some how become not be able to be watched with error message “verifying download”

My screen shot is of the Xfinity Stream app. And it appears we are both on the same, updated iOS so I don't know why you don't see that on your phone. But the next question is this - can you download other apps? Or are you just having problems with the Xfinity app? How much space is available on your iPhone?
Try forcing a restart of your phone.

Open the App Store and open the Xfinity app. In the description, under Information, you will see a link to Report a Problem. Tap there to communicate directly with Xfinity to trouble shoot the problem.
I should have specified Xfinity Stream app not just Xfinity. So I do not see report a problem
