Can I transfer files directly between two external SSDs on iPad Pro M4 using a USB-C adapter?

I move files between two external SSDs with my Mac Book and Mini without moving them to the internal storage on either, using two Finder windows. Can I do this with the iPad with the M4.

To directly move files between USB storage, without first copying files to internal storage, both USB storage devices must be simultaneously connected to your iPad using a compatible powered USB hub that features multiple USB ports. An Apple Digal AV Multiport Adapter alone will be insufficient.
