How to fix touch sensitivity issue on my iPhone 16 Pro Max screen?

I’ve tried a few different screen protectors and there are portions of the touch screen that just don’t work. It’s not limited to one particular app either; many different ones. So frustrating. I’ve tried rebooting and updating. Seems like this has been an ongoing issue since this phone came out. I wish I could go back to my old 13!

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and my wife has an iPhone 16. Neither of us have experienced any touch screen issues. Neither of us have screen protectors on our devices though. Have you tried removing the screen protector and checking to see if the touch screen is working? While it would be unusual for a newer phone like that experience touch screen issues, you are under warranty and can contact Apple Support to have them check your device for any problems. They will explain your options. Here are the ways to contact Apple Support.

Best Way

Install the Apple Support app on your iPhone or iPad - you can contact support directly from the app, and the tech will have (with your permission) access to diagnostic data on your phone

Other options:

(Note that both of the above have options to receive a callback or chat)
