Unable to add my Visa card to my Apple Account

I am not able to add a visa card in my apple account. Previously, I could and make payment with the same card. Even now, the card is valid in other platforms like steam,google,etc.

Now, a issue is shown that indicated the card is invalid.

Cards can certainly be valid and the bank can revoke the tokenization to be added in the Wallet app after it has been removed. The first step as seen in this support article is to contact the bank of the card. You can expect that half the time the first tier support will simply claim it is not their problem and must be an Apple issue. That has been seen many times and escalation usually results in a successful outcome. You can also contact Apple, but they will not be able to resolve a tokenization issue that the bank must send to your device.

It can only be resolved if your bank and the Payment Network Operators (Visa, Mastercard, American Express etc.) work together to resolve the issue. Apple cannot confirm your identity or verify your account(s). Only your bank and PNO can verify your identity and the account. Both the PNO and the bank must work together to remove the fraud alert.


Fraud alerts can remain on an account for up to a year. How long has the fraud alert been on the account? When was the last time you tried adding a card to your iPhone? Have you added your card to a device that does not belong to you, such as relative’s or friend”s?

I have had the same issue for a week now.... got a new card and unable to add... so tried different bank cards... same issue.... Apple unable to help... Visa unable to help (same with MasterCard)... Barclays have told me that this issue is well known at senior level across banks, Visa and Apple - seems to be an Apple issue - so not sure when it will be resolved... seeminlgy could be if your card has been flagged for fraud - which mine was maybe due to an unkown transaction - but not on Apple Pay - just by my bank... now have no way of this being resolved
