How do I stop my iPhone 16 from randomly calling contacts?

How do i stop iPhone 16 from randomly phone people in my contacts. Some of the people I haven’t spoken to for over 12 months. It an embarrassing nuisance! Even more worrying the phone is in my shirt pocket so how is it turning itself on (my face isn’t in my shirt pocket)!

This happens when someone has Tap or Slide to Wake turned on. Your phone is experiencing unintentional touches while you are moving about with the phone in your pocket. Open the Settings App > Accessibility > Touch and turn off Tap or Swipe to Wake. Going forward, you will need to tap your side power button to wake your iPhone screen.
