MacBook Pro M1 Max with LG 49WL95C monitor

Mac OS Ventura 13.7.6

MacBook Pro M1 Max 32GB

i’ve seen some topics closed so thought i’d put this here for those who are still struggling.

i couldn’t get it working. the max resolution wasn’t detected by the MacBook Pro M1 Max. the output was only shown on one half of the screen.

as i had previously used the monitor with two different computers as a split screen setup I decided to reset the monitor to its factory configuration as follows:

press the button on the back of the monitor

choose Settings

scroll down to Reset to Initial Settings

choose Yes

Boom, it works straight away for me using DisplayPort or USB C setting at 1.4 with either the Thunderbolt(USB C) cable supplied with the monitor or using a Display Port 2.1 to USB C cable from Ugreen

im not using any additional software at all.

i hope it works for you too

best of luck
