Good job in identifying and questioning that attempted scam.


Some key points in a scam:

  1. That message never mentioned you by name.
  2. That phone number directs you to a scammer who is (most likely) working in an organized scam call center in another country.
  3. No transfer of funds happened. Fake information to manipulate people into believing that this message is legitimate.


That’s all the evidence you need to block, report and delete the message.


Again, good job in identifying that scam and questioning the message.

If you receive a suspicious email or SMS text message that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, please email it to reportphishing@apple.com. 

Its OK to Report a Scam, this now represents a Danger.

This should be reported as the Scam that it actually is.


Details on how to do so, vary; to avoid repeating the

Scam, do not re-post those bad parts. Others mistake

that as some cure, when they are 'mistaken' too.
