Is there a way I can recover my original image for my wallpaper on iPhone?

You could go to an empty screen and do a screenshot, so you'd have the contents of the picture available permanently. Of course, it would be fuzzier than the original.

How did you create the wallpaper-- from a picture in Photos? If so, and it's not in Photos now, even in Hidden or Recently Deleted, then the full picture is gone. If you think the picture might just be lost inside of Photos somewhere, then you can hunt with the search field for the date or location. And remember, you can sort the Library by date captured or by date added, so it might not be where you expect. Also, your Library view now has filters, and you may not have your filter set to "All Items:"

I’m sorry but unfortunately, the wallpaper won’t be able to be restored. Unless you saved the image, which if it were this important to you, I wish you had done so beforehand.

Your iPhone's backup content cannot be accessed, but you can choose which previous version to restore from if you know it will include the Wallpaper you want.
