Is there a way I can recover my original image for my wallpaper on iPhone?

I lost a very important picture to me that is being used as my wallpaper is there someway I can recover it by going through the iphone's files or backup? I need the image very badly, please help!

You could go to an empty screen and do a screenshot, so you'd have the contents of the picture available permanently. Of course, it would be fuzzier than the original.


How did you create the wallpaper-- from a picture in Photos? If so, and it's not in Photos now, even in Hidden or Recently Deleted, then the full picture is gone. If you think the picture might just be lost inside of Photos somewhere, then you can hunt with the search field for the date or location. And remember, you can sort the Library by date captured or by date added, so it might not be where you expect. Also, your Library view now has filters, and you may not have your filter set to "All Items:"
