What You Can Do Right Now
1. Start Account Recovery
Go here: https://iforgot.apple.com
- Enter your iCloud email (e.g., n*******@icloud.com)
- Follow the prompts. If you can’t receive a code (no trusted number), Apple will ask some security questions and might initiate Account Recovery, which can take a few days.
- You’ll be notified at the recovery email (if you set one) or when the account is ready to reset.
You cannot change the recovery email or phone number once you’re locked out. Apple won’t send instructions to another email (like i******@gmail.com) unless it’s already tied to the Apple ID.
2. Contact Apple Support Directly (if needed)
If iforgot.apple.com doesn’t work or is unclear, you can contact Apple for help:
- Call Apple Support: https://getsupport.apple.com
- Choose Apple ID > Forgot Apple ID password
- You’ll be asked to verify your identity (billing info, security questions, or device info)
