Why is my new iPhone 15 battery draining rapidly and experiencing high heat?

Battery draining unusually fast and heating of phone is really high

Original Title: i ordered this iphone 15 128 GB blue model 7 days before i see an unusual heating of phone and draining of charge and i couldnt find any thing unusual i thought i could search for any replaced battwry in my phone but i couldnt see that option as well

It is normal to take 5 - 7 days after setup and iOS update to index new files and perform object detection on your photos. That will generate heat and increase battery use during that time, but it should not take longer than that.


You can also see what apps are using your battery at Setting > Battery. Post a screenshot of the graph you see and the top apps that are consuming the battery. It would be best to view the data using the last 24 hour option instead of the previous 10 days.


On last thing you can do is perform a Force Restart to perform maintenance after setup.

  • Press and quickly release Volume Up
  • Press and quickly release Volume Down
  • Press and HOLD the side button until the Apple Logo appears. Ignore anything else on the screen during that time and it could take up to 15 seconds before you see the Apple Logo while holding the side button.
