Keeps copying to clipboard instead of allowing copy/paste!

Trying to copy my hotel booking from my email but everytime I try to copy, it immediately says “copied to clipboard” and won’t let me copy and paste? Where in God’s name is the clipboard copies? Sooo frustrating ! How do I stop this useless clipboard that can’t be accessed function?

After it is copied to the clipboard, go to where you want to paste it and long press in the Text Field where you should then see the Paste option. If you still have trouble, let us know where you are trying to paste it.

For reference, I included the info on the copy/paste operation. The clipboard has always been a part of the copy/paste process, it just usually is unseen by the user other than the message you saw verifying that the data was copied. It may be that images in your email are not copied. Does it show all the content as being selected when you choose copy?

Depending on where you want to paste the information, you may have better luck using this method.

  • Tap the Forward button on the bottom of the email (looks like a backwards arrow)
  • Scroll down and select Print.
  • Tap the Share button on top of the screen (looks like a square with arrow pointing up)
  • Then you have a couple of options. You can choose the Copy option and paste it like you normally would or choose one of the apps you want to paste it to.

This method copies the entire email as a pdf and includes all information in the email, so you do not have the ability to choose only part of the email to copy.

I never could figure out what that meant. Thanks for explaining how to use it. I tried to do paste after "copied to clipboard". It still won't let me copy the entire booking, only a few words at a time. I really despise this clipboard. It just started all of a sudden, or pops up out of nowhere. Normally, I hold, drag over all the info I want to copy, then paste. Just not working with this clipboard constantly taking over and not copying what I want. Ugh!
