How do I get apple to remove the recovery key off my account? I didn't and wouldn't add to my account. I am disabled and I lost my account to some 28 char recovery key. I need my account back.

The fundamental purpose of enabling a Recovery Key is to disable all other means of resetting the Apple Account password.

If you did not do it, then someone else knows the Password to your account and they did it. In any case, it is not turned on by default and you cannot recover the account with out it or another Trusted Device signed into your account to get a new Recovery Key.

Discuss it with Apple. If they think there’s a key, then this account is gone.
