How to stop “Choose how to manage your passkeys” popup in Firefox on Mac?

I don't want the Apple password manager. I have disabled it everywhere I can find, yet I am still getting a popup on Firefox that "Choose how to manage your passkeys". It gives the option to go to AutoFill & Passwords in settings. It is all disabled in there. On Sequoia 15.5 on a Macbook Air. This is really frustrating.

Same issue, have spoken to support - was told that I need to disable my icloud passwords sync. Which I have. It still pops up.

Apple: How can we completely turn off and disable the entire passkey system, forever?

I've gotten around the issue by installing Linux on my macbook pro. That stops it. I'm about to do that on my other devices.
