My iPhone 16 pro will never charge with power banks. I understand it’s super sensitive but I don’t even see the option to override the liquid detection. Not even in settings. I do have a child account maybe that is why?

Do you have AppleCare for your iPhone 16 Pro? Your best option is to schedule an appointment and explore options (I doubt standard warranty covers liquid related damage). There is no way to override the liquid detection and even if there were, you would risk severely damaging your iPhone.

Is this an issue only when using power banks or does it still happen when plugging it into a power outlet? You should leave the phone unplugged for at least half an hour if it got in contact with liquids, and if the issue persists leave it to dry for up to 24 hours.
Newer iPhones have increasingly strict liquid detection systems to protect the device from damage. This is unrelated to having a child account, and you might want to contact Apple Support or even schedule a Genius Bar appointment to make sure the charging port hasn't corroded because of contact with liquids and explore repair options.

The option to override Liquid Detection is not in Settings. It rather appears when you have a charging cable connected to the iPhone and liquid has been detected. Now if you didn’t give it time to dry when it was exposed to water, it would have remained and the charging port likely damaged. Child accounts shouldn’t affect this feature. Now water damage is irreparable and Apple doesn’t service them, and neither does the 1 Year Limited Manufacturers Warranty cover water damage. So hopefully you had AppleCare+ which should give you a deductible on a new iPhone.

2 hours isn’t enough. It can take up to 24 hours for the charging port to fully dry out. And even if you use different power banks, if the charging port is damaged it won’t take any one’s charge.
I have contacted apple support and the only advice they gave me was to restart the phone, and schedule an appointment. Restarting doesn’t work either.
