How can I add a new browser to my MacBook Pro?

I would like to add another browser to my Mac. How can I do this? And how can I go back and forth between them?

Download another web browser from its own website and install it per their own instructions or from the App Store app. Options in the App Store app are more limited, but you do get some like the Duck Duck go browser.

To go back and forth, just open either Safari or the other web browser app you downloaded instead.

Secondary web browsers do not in any way replace Safari or make it inaccessible. You just have an additional app you can open if you choose to, from your Dock, Launchpad or Applications folder in Finder.

It's just like adding any app for any other function.

Personally I like Firefox. But other options include Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and many others.

I would as suggested stay away from Chrome and Edge.

I would always recommend having more than one browser on your machine.

This is how you conveniently reach out the world wide web...

If one browser is not working as expected then compare to a different browser, I prefer different rendering engines for this purpose...

Safari—Webkit as its core rendering engine

FireFox—Gecko rendering engine

Any browser you download if you do not like it, then delete it and download a different one.

ex. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mac/

ex. https://brave.com/download/

ex. https://duckduckgo.com/mac

etc.

Just like any other application, you can have as many applications running at one time as you need within reason...
