Why is Minecraft crashing and then restarting my PC?

I can see that Minecraft has aborted itself when I am playing, but I can't see a clear reason why? Is it possible that this issue can come from a high-cycle battery? I'm not really sure why this is happening and since it's crashing my computer fully, I don't get a crash report.

Troubleshooting a Crashing App:

As the report reads:

Battery failure - Your battery is reporting that it needs to be serviced. Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed that could be malicious and should be reviewed.

Examining Hard Drive:

A. Use of MalwareBytes for Mac

This is software that searches for malware/adware. So, scan with it and then remove what is found. Once removed, uninstall MalwareBytes for Mac. Then restart the Mac. This software has been created by Long Time Users of these Forums. So, that makes it reliable for Macs.

Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes uninstaller

B. See if your Hard drive is Failing:

What to Try:

  • Perform the following in Recovery Mode:
  1. Boot: into Recovery ModeGo Here:  How to Use Safe Mode on your Mac- Apple Support
  2. Select: Disk Utility
  3. Select: the Drive
  4. Click: First Aid button

"Thanks. I already have CrowdStrike AV installed, which as far as I know will stop any malicious processes. Either way, I'll check on Malwarebytes. Why do you recommend uninstalling Malwarebytes after use? I've checked all the unsigned files. They are either from a legitimate VPN company or from a steam game, so I don't think they are the issue."

You are welcome.

Security Software:

Uninstalling Malwarebytes is your choice. But, for those who want to uninstall it, I have provided the link. Note that Malwarebytes is designed by longtime users of these forums, and it something that should be considered to scan with.

Keep all other Security Software off of your Mac. It just gets in the way, and this is a pure example of how and why.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand what you mean by "it gets in the way". Are you suggesting the crashing is being caused by Crowdstrike?

As far as I know, Crowdstrike Falcon and Malwarebytes do almost completely different things. Crowdstrike does not scan your computer after the fact like Malwarebytes, it doesn't even access your files, which is why it's preferred by many enterprises and the federal government. Instead, AFAIK, it just looks at the hash and code of an executed file and prevents it from opening if its malicious. But if you have reason to believe that Crowdstrike is causing crashing, then I'll look into it, but otherwise I don't see technically why it would cause a crash after a file has been opened and passes it's "check"

I'm not super well versed on malware analysis, so please feel free to educate me

Security Software Causing Issues:

Something malicious could be running in the background. And Secure Software that is not Malwarebytes makes your Mac vulnerable. It's the way Macs are affected by them. VPNs often do not permit WiFi and excessive use of running processes can, and will, lead to one failure or another. Having taken part in these forums for quite some time, you'd find plenty of other examples. Having used McAfee in the past, my Mac's battery died out, with the Secure Software being the potential culprit at a Genius Bar Appointment.
