When your iPhone is plugged in to charge, it will give a short chime once to indicate it has been plugged in, but that is the only sound it will make. There is no sound when it is connected, or when it completes. If it is randomly making a sound, it could indicate an interruption in power to the phone. Are you plugged into a power adapter at home? If so, have you tried another outlet?

Either that has nothing to do with charging, or your power source is being interrupted and restarting.

Here’s the first step: when you first plug it in to charge, it makes a quiet beep. If this is the same sound that keeps repeating then it is a problem with the power source or the power outlet when it is plugged in.

If it is a different sound from the initial charging sound then there is some app that is generating it.
