Unfortunately, you can’t downgrade an iPhone to iOS 18.5 once it’s been updated to iOS 26.
Apple only allows installing versions of iOS that are still being signed — and older versions like iOS 18.5 are no longer signed by Apple’s servers. That means even if you have an IPSW file, the installation will fail because the signature check won’t pass.
If iOS 26 feels unsatisfactory, the best thing you can do is:
Once Apple stops signing iOS 26 and releases a new version (like iOS 26.1), you can only move forward, not back.
If you just want your phone to feel faster or more stable again, a clean restore from backup usually helps a lot!

I want to be the richest person in the world. My want is more likely than your want. There are 14 pages in this thread and on every single page is the right answer, which is downgrading is NOT, not has it EVER been supported.
you can't unfortunately
You can't now that beta tesing is over.
You are correct.
It does not work because you cannot downgrade the iOS once it has been released.
No, downgrading is not supported.

You don't. As the previous seven pages of this thread would have told you.

I would like Apple to remove this update
As has been mentioned multiple times in this thread......Apple has never supported downgrading the iOS version.
But who reads threads?

After upgraded ios 26, battery drain very fast. Need to recharge full 3 times in a day. Earlier it was only single charge for full day. Not expected from apple this kind of glitch.
apple should think about seriously and provide option for switch to last version.
Apple has NEVER supported downgrading, and it's HUGELY unlikely they ever will. But you're not telling Apple what you think they should do here. Use this link if you want to tell Apple --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple

I’m very sorry to tell you that you are probably the hundredth person to point that out in this 11 page thread.
Hey lobsterghost1, I’m back to inform the masses that it was in fact apple inc. With the update of iOS 26 being released. The issue has resolved, I thank you deeply for “helping me” with my issue. I wish you nothing but the best in life and have a lovely 2026! 🥂
What you want to do.....you cannot do.
Sorry, downgrading the operating system is not supported

That will happen when Automatic Updates is turned on at Settings > General > Software Updates. Once updated, there is not a way to downgrade.
