iPhone mirroring requires MacBook Pro password even after disabling

Is there a solution or this this "feature request"? I can't tell from the previous questions about this. I set up iPhone mirroring while I was trying to accomplish something else. Now my computer lock screen requires a password. I thought I set mirroring not to automatically authenticate, a couple of times. (Did I miss some kind of Save button there?) Then I revoked mirroring from my phone. But I still cannot turn off the password on the Mac's lock screen.

Yes or no: will I have to unlock my computer with a password for the rest of my life with this computer because I opened the pandora's box of iPhone mirroring?

Yes, this worked finally: The Mac Lock Screen option of "Never" eventually became available again after a shutdown and restart. I had earlier restored the backup on the iPhone (to get my home page icons back). I think this completely disabled the tangle of mirror settings between the iPhone and the Mac.

Open the iPhone Mirroring app

iPhone Mirroring .app>Settings from the menu bar click on "ask every time", not the auto authorization

Restart your Mac, go back to your >System Settings>Lock Screen and the psswd field>set psswd requirement to "never"
