How do I set my MacBook Pro to shut down by lid closing along with two monitors connected?

I currently have my macbook connected to 2 monitors. trying to get the macbook to shut down when i close the lid along with the monitors.it currently goes into clamshell mode and keeps the 2 monitors on.

is there a way to do this?

Hi,

I think there is no way to do you desire. Only way to shutdown before lid close your MacBook.

as kaz-k suggests, choose Shutdown off the Apple menu. Then closing the lid is optional.

Modern Macs start up rather quickly, so it only takes slightly longer than sleeping, and accomplishes your other goals of turning off the signals to the external displays.
