Continue to get "Printer is Offline" message
I have a MacStudio M2 and a HP 7640 printer, all connected to my local network. Running MacOS Sequoia 15.5
Almost every day when I try to print after first booting the Mac, I get a "Printer is Offline" and nothing prints.
I can print from the iPad, or the iPhone just fine, but not from the Mac.
I have removed and reinstalled the printer; reset the printing system; and restarted the computer. Each of these will usually trigger the printer to print, but after the next overnight shutdown and startup the same thing happens all over again. Yet there is no issue with the iPad or iPhone.
If I just leave the system in limbo, sometimes after a few hours - yes, hours - the printer will suddenly begin to print, then finish printing everything in the queue. And for the remainder of the time the computer is powered up, the printer is just fine.
I've seen many comments like this on HP's site, but unless it's a problem in their driver software, it must ba a Mac OS problem since the iPad and iPhone work OK with the printer.
Has anyone else either found the same problem or solved it?
