iPhone 15 Pro Lidar sensor is not working well with ANY photogrammetry app

I have been trying to make apps such as Polycam and Scaniverse work properly on my iPhone 15 Pro, but I was NOT able to make them work in any way. I have also tried my friends' iPhone 15 Pros' (or Pro Max) and it was not working there too.

My software version is 18.5 and all of my friends are either on 18.3.1, 18.4 or 18.5 and all of the people who had an iPhone 15 Pro (or 15 Pro Max) have had problems. Surprisingly, my friends that have the 14 Pro on the same OS do not have the same issue.

I'm NOT on beta software and I've had this problem for around 1 month. Plus I guarantee that the lidar sensors are working on all of these phones, I've checked with Apple's "Measure" app already

What's going on?

I've already done that and the app developers said they're waiting on a fix coming from Apple.

OK. But this is a user to user only forum. Apple isn't here. Only other users. No one here has any involvement with the Apps or Apple.

Same thing has happened to me. I upgraded to a new iPhone 16 Pro Max in December 2024 and from day 1, the lidar doesn’t seem to fully work
