I recently got a new iMac and the new wireless keyboard is different from my previous one. I used to be able to hold down the Delete key and it would keep deleting until I let up on the key. However, the Delete key on this keyboard has to be pressed each time (each letter, etc.). Is this normal? Any way to change it?

I have the previous generation Magic Keyboard (with a 2021 M1 iMac) and it repeats the Delete and other keys but there is an option. It is in Apple menu > System Settings > Keyboard > Key repeat rate. If that is set to Off (which is not the default) that would explain the issue. That's worth checking but I suspect that's not the reason as it isn't the default behavior.

It wasn't the Key repeat rate. The culprit was the Delay Until Repeat and that was set to Long. Fixed! Thanks for steering me in the right direction.
