Audio output cable for 2025 A16 iPad

I have always connected my old iPad to my treadmill speakers using a simple cable with 3.5 mm plugs on both ends. I now have a new 2025 A16 iPad and want to do the same with it. Will a basic USB-C to 3.5 mm plug cable do the trick or do I need something more?

Connecting iPad Pro to a Mixer/speakers and charging at the same time How can I connect my iPad Pro 6th generation to a mixer board (sound system) and charge it at the same time? Because the new iPads don't have a headphone port, I have to use the charging port--thus you can either charge or connect it to a sound system. I tried two different splitters but both of those created a terrible hum on the sound system. Basically, I cannot charge it and play music at the same time. [Edited by Moderator]

when you go to the product page you can click compatibility and it list compatible devices

including ipad 10g
