Connecting external hard drive to Ipad

Hello,

Is there a way to connect an external hard drive to my Ipad Air 3rd Generation? Is it simply a case of connecting an adaptor and selecting my files/videos to view?

Many thanks.

Yes. You can use a lighting to USB camera adapter and connect the drive. If it's formatted in a way the iPad can read, it should show up in the Files app under locations and can access its contents from there.

Alternatively, you a get it on Amazon for $10 less than on Apple.com at the time of writing this.
