My magic keyboard won't turn off and the option key stopped working. The switch moves, it just doesn't turn it off (which wouldn't matter, but my cat walks on it and sends messages). The option key is much bigger deal. It feels very hard to push, and spongy. So far, I can still get it to work, but soon that won't be possible.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping for a fix. Any Apple providers are over an hour away, so not really a good option.
