How to Turn off AutoPlay for Apple TV+
Today I discovered how to turn off autoplay for AppleTV+.
The solution
- Settings
- Apps
- TV
- Play Next Episode: Off
Detailed instructions
- Open the Settings app. This will give you a screen with the list: General, Users and Accounts, etc...
- Select Apps (9th in the list).
- Select TV (should be at the top of the App Settings section).
- Set whatever settings you want off or on.
For example:
Play Next Episode... Off
Play a Recommendation... Off
The credits will still go into the upper-right corner, but they will keep playing through. No more timer counting the seconds until it autoplays. The next episode will not play unless you tell it to.
Enjoy the show, then listen to the music while the credits scroll.
No more rushing for the remote when the credits start so you can stop the next episode from playing, or to stop the audio for an ad for some other show from playing.
This info is not on any of the other posts I've seen by other people asking how to turn off AutoPlay, so I thought I'd share it here in case the info helps others.
