Activities are not registering in Apple Watch's Health app

Did two bike rides using my Apple Watch, and a walk this afternoon. None of them recorded on my watch.

This is really frustrating. I have deleted and reinstalled the Healthfit app on my phone, verified that the watch and phone are paired and the Outdoor Walk app on the watch is set to Open.

I have rebooted both devices.

If you open the Health App on your iPhone, tap on Browse -> Workouts -> Data Sources & Access -> Apps Allowed To Read Data, did you enable Health Fit or the other 3rd party workout apps?

Can you record a workout if you use the default Apple Workout app?

My desired source apps were not selected though they had been for several years.

Oh well, we see if it works tomorrow.

Tried a short walk and it didn’t register on the phone. Is there a different app I should be using to transfer workouts from the watch to the phone in place or HealthFit? The data shows in the Health app but I also want to share it with Strava and MyFitnessPal.

I used the default workout app. I also use it for walks which are not recording GPS data.
