How to download iOS 26

If you choose to install that, be sure to understand the following from Apple Beta — FAQ

Beta software may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software. We encourage you to submit feedback when you encounter these issues. If you need further assistance, please note that you must restore to previously-released software prior to contacting AppleCare.

It’s not out to the public yet it is only available for beta testers so you have to sign up for Apple beta and if you sign up for the Apple beta then don’t download it on your main device because apps can just break out of nowhere.

It won’t be out until the fall.

What you see people talking about are beta test versions that should not be installed on any IPhone that you need to work in a reliable way.

You become an app developer and go from there. Honestly, if you have to ask this question, you aren't ready to be a beta tester.

In my opinion.......When Apple states that you should only install test software on a "spare phone"......they unfortunately did not use big, bold, red print.

It's still in beta and not publicly available. If you're registered with one of Apple's testing programs, follow the instructions it provides.
