My iPhone pulses and flips off the arm of my chair. is anyone else noticing this?

When I’m in my recliner watching a flick, I set my iPhone on the arm of the chair. I will randomly feel a small thunk from the phone just before it flips to the floor. I’ll set it squarely where I know it can’t just accidentally slip off. It takes a causation to make it jump off the chair arm.

I was gifted a new iPhone 16 last month. My former iPhone 13 never did this. It happens once or twice every day. Anyone else notice this?

Go to Settings/Sounds & Haptics, tap on Haptics and tap Never Play.

BTW, how would you know anything about the arms of my recliner?

I never set my phone face up. So the camera lenses are not an issue on any surface.

People assume way too much.

No, some people still believe Physics Rules.

if the phone pulses you have some notification that is making it “pulse”. As no one here can actually touch your phone it is your job to find the app that is doing it.

attacking volunteers in the forum is not a strategy that will be productive.

How is that the bigger question?

I have a highend heated beautiful cozy real leather recliner.

The arms are flat and 8” wide. When I’m sitting in the chair, I set the phone on an arm. There is no end table.

My phone case has silicone padded frame and doesn’t slide.

The dang phone pulses and flips off the chair. That’s why I’ve been searching for answers. I found another post by someone who was experiencing the same thing so I know it’s not just happening to me.
