macOS Maps changes planned date I set to an earlier date

In the search bar, I enter a location and it is found.

I click Directions.

With the transportation mode set to automobile, I drag the location to the top, since it is my departure location. (I don't believe this has any relevance, but am listing for sake of completeness.)

I enter another location as the destination; it is found, and I am shown route options.

I'm planning a future trip, so I click Plan.

The default is for Leave, and I click the date (which is today, 6/27/2025), change it to 7/14/2025, and press enter (or click outside the pop up window), but the date changes to 7/11/2025. I tried several times, including changing from Leave to Arrive.

Is it the case that you can only enter a planned date two weeks or less from today's date? If so, it would be helpful to have a pop up to tell you so. Maps Help > Plan a route on your Mac — does not mention any such restriction.

In Maps, there is "Report and issue", "Report something missing", "Report Street Issue", and "Report Place Issues" as options, but none of those are appropriate, and I was unable to create a report even using "Report something missing". However in Maps help (Plan a route on your Mac), I just did leave feedback on this issue.

It is just 2 weeks in the future. I am using Sequoia, so unable to confirm the operation on Sonoma, but for me when you click on the leave field a calendar comes up with only the days highlighted that you can accept 2 weeks in the future. When using the arrows in the UI to change the date, it will not allow you to increase the date beyond the 11th, and if you try and enter the date, such as 14, it will revert to the 11th as being the latest date that is acceptable.

In addition to reporting feedback in the app, you can also do it here:

Thanks for confirming.

In Sonoma, dates beyond two weeks are highlighted, and when I click on the calendar, I can set dates beyond two weeks. At least they've made some UI improvements in Sequoia (which I'll be upgrading to after I sort out a move from one important app I'm using that isn't Sequoia compatible, to an alternate app that is.)
