Find My Mac On but MacBook Pro not showing up

Hello, as my spouse and I were using the same Apple ID, I created a new one and transferred some of my devices to the new one including my MacBook Pro.

When I go to System Setting>Apple Account>Devices ; I can see my MacBook Pro. If I click on it it says Find My Mac "Off".

However, in Setting>Apple Account>iCould>Saved to iCloud>See All> Find My Mac is "On", so is Find My network.

In Privacy & Security, Locations Services is On, so is Find My.

I have tried several times :

  • toggling both On and Off
  • removing the device from the account
  • starting in safe mode and checking Find My

Nothing has worked so far.

As I didn't receive a satisfactory reply from Apple support, I asked ChatGPT.
Here is the solution that worked :
2. Check System Integrity with Terminal (TCC Database)
Sometimes, the TCC (Transparency, Consent, and Control) database can become inconsistent.
Run this in Terminal:

tccutil reset SystemPolicySysAdminFiles
Then:

tccutil reset SystemPolicyAllFiles
This resets permissions related to system and iCloud services.

After restarting my Mac, Find My was working fine.

Good computing WalyTom ! Appreciate the update.

I see no current issue on the FindMy server...

Thanks. I tried that several times. I also removed the device from the account and connected it to another one ; toggled Find My Mac in iCould On and Off ; activated and deactivated the location services ; and started in Safe Mode. Everytime restarting the Mac in between. Nothing worked.

I contacted Apple support by Chat and they had no solution to offer. They recommended to call the support in my country.
